Quick Start Program

As of July 21, 2009 the Quick Start Energy Grant Program awarded the full $14,950,000 through the Montana Reinvestment Act (HB645), which implemented the federal American Recovery Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 to Montana Schools. The Quick Start Program was approved by the 61st Legislature and signed by Governor Schweitzer on May 14, 2009, and was designed to assist schools with conducting energy audits and completing energy efficiency projects to provide long-term, cost-effective benefits to K-12 Schools. Governor Schweitzer considered the Quick Start Energy Grant Program a top priority due to the lasting benefits it would provide to schools.
